Power amplifier design for novel radio front end

Join a team of RF experts as they develop a novel RF front end architecture with great potential to significantly move the state-of-the-art forwards allowing for more capable, more efficient, and cheaper radio systems. You will be working on power amplifiers and interstage matching network designs. Specifically, their integration into a Multi-chip Module, optimising layout and ensuring your implementation is high performance and low loss.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience specifying and integrating multi-band power amplifiers for RF systems
  • Good RF basics such as filter design, impendence matching, harmonics, and use of Smith charts
  • Confident with simulation and layout tools, ideally ADS and Microwave Office
  • Any experience using RF test equipment would be a bonus (for example spectrum analysers or noise meters)

The unique technologies driving this team forward are now well tested, so they have recently entered a new phase of growth as they scale up, producing full radio systems with an eye on mass-production. It is at this time that your skills and experience can have a large impact on the final product, and ultimately the success of the company. In recognition of this, for the right candidate, share options are part of the remuneration package.
