Developing automation technology to enable advanced medical therapies

Advanced therapies for intractable diseases can be impracticably involved and expensive for widespread adoption. This rapidly expanding start-up are developing automation technologies to streamline workflows, bring down costs, and broaden access to life-enhancing treatments.

To help bring their plans to market, the company are seeking an accomplished software engineer with expertise in robotic systems to join their growing team. You will primarily be focussed on the development of high integrity control software for automation and robotics, but there will be ample scope to work with colleagues from other technical backgrounds on broader aspects of the system.

You will need

  • A 1st or 2.1 in, computer science, engineering, or other relevant subject from a well-respected university together with strong supporting pre-university grades
  • Demonstrably strong Python coding skills and hands-on experience with the Robotics Operating System (ROS)
  • Additional expertise with C++ and C# would be welcome
  • Ability to provide technical leadership on software matters, and work in collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines
  • Experience in developing complex control software for regulated industries
