Marketing Manager (27194)
Lead the marketing activities for an established consultancy working in and around technology IP. This role will require an entrepreneurial mindset, to take initiative and drive successful marketing to prospective business clients. Client companies tend to be multinational product companies with established product lines which this company supports with the creation of new and innovative IP.
You’ll take ownership of marketing strategy, planning and execution. Your activities will generate leads which can be taken up by the business development and sales teams. You’ll create marketing materials, supporting materials for sales, and press releases. At major conferences and trade events, you’ll evangelise on the company’s behalf. In social media you’ll manage the company’s presence, enhancing reputation and recognition.
You will bring:
- Prior marketing management skills as applicable to (and likely gained with) technology companies, ideally in product development consultancy or innovation consultancy. You'll understand how such companies work and have a track record of identifying and acting on marketing opportunities.
- An understanding of intellectual property (IP), including patents and their benefits and limitations.
- Demonstrable success in creating demand through your marketing work.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including the ability to analyse, translate and amplify the benefits of the company’s offering and perspective.
- A self-directed, results-driven approach, receptive to teamwork but not reliant on others to set and achieve goals.
The company offers competitive remuneration depending on experience in this full-time position. With offices in Cambridge and London, you can expect to work from the office 2-3 days per week with the remainder working from home if desired.
