Electronics Engineer - Cyber Security (27198)
An exciting opportunity to join a high-calibre team of scientists and engineers working to meet the challenges to national security presented by modern cyber threats.
This is a position that will utilise your knowledge and practical skills with electronics hardware, sensors, systems and infrastructure, as well as software architecture. You would be undertaking research into the weaknesses of systems’ software and hardware, exploring cyber security vulnerabilities with a view to designing secure devices and protocols, significantly improving the safety and reliability of the systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and manage your own time will be expected as you will quickly be given responsibility and independence on packages of work.
The dedicated and focussed team, work with state-of-the-art technology, in labs situated on a picturesque science park with easy access to London and Cambridge.
Requirements:
- Excellent academic history including technical degrees at graduate and post graduate level, and possibly a PhD in subjects such as Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics
- Commercial experience with electronics hardware
- Skilled in designing software architecture
- Considerable interest in cyber security
- British nationality – a high level of security clearance will be necessary and so only British citizens (single nationality) will be considered
