Using your analytical skills to help clients solve complex optimisation issues

We are seeking a bright Product Support Engineer, who combines excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong communication and management abilities, proven through real world experience of liaising with clients.

You would be joining an exciting, growing company providing mathematical modelling capabilities to clients in the energy commodities sector. As a Product Support Engineer, you would become expert in their highly technical mathematical modelling toolkit, its capabilities, and how to get the best from it; you would then use this knowledge to help clients overcome challenges with their own modelling projects. Seeing the software used in real-world applications will give you valuable insights that will allow you to influence its future evolution and contribute towards training and marketing materials.

You will need:

  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills; ability to work logically through complex problems to identify root causes
  • Strong organisational skills and prior commercial experience of communicating with clients, understanding their difficulties, and helping them through to a solution.

This is a dynamic and successful company based in pleasant surroundings in the heart of London. They have a flat informal structure, and a dedicated team of engineers who enjoy tackling challenges. Future progression could involve leading client communications, and taking on responsibilities in training, technical account management, product development and business development.
