Tuning novel RF architecture for latest standards

This innovative team, working at the cutting edge of RF design, is looking for an algorithm expert to work on tuning their designs to meet highly demanding requirements and constraints. The teams’ goal is a wholly new RF architecture capable of working with the latest standards but with a significantly simpler and cheaper design. With the underlying theory proved out, they are now building an RF design team to turn it into a reality.

As this will be a truly unique product, you will need to be comfortable working without the security of text-book answers and tried-and-tested designs. You’ll need to be adaptable and resilient as you navigate through the challenges of this role and able to conceive new and perhaps even unconventional solutions. This is not just another RF design role.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in RF, backed by a top engineering or physics degree
  • Demonstrable experience developing practical and efficient RF algorithms for real-world systems, this includes developing software for modelling and prototyping these algorithms
  • Good understanding of integrating algorithms into real-world hardware including dealing with issues such as noise or manufacturing variation
  • Creative problem-solving skills, especially when approaching complex challenges

With a strong emphasis placed on collaboration and teamwork, this is a great environment in which to continue to grow and develop new knowledge and skills. This positive work environment extends to flexible working hours and remote working opportunities as well as regular company outings.

Please note: even if you don’t have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest – we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
