Senior Software Engineer (27245)

This innovative Cambridge startup is looking for senior software engineers to help their team develop a unique video streaming application delivering healthcare and support to millions throughout the UK. Their tailored interactive platform could help drastically reduce waiting times for people with some painful conditions.

Founded by industry veterans, this vibrant and friendly team are growing quickly. Talented software engineers who have proven experience in a range of programming languages and would welcome the challenge of designing and architecting tailored video streaming platforms are encouraged to apply, although previous video streaming know-how is not essential. The most important attribute would be the ability to adapt and to identify the best tools for the task in hand.

You will need:

• A good technical degree in a subject such as Mathematics or Computer Science
• A broad range of skills in software engineering including commercial experience with programming languages such as Rust, C++, Python and JavaScript
• The ability to successfully lead technical projects, delivering scalable, reliable software systems
• Good understanding of networking and familiarity with a range of cloud platforms and services
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of video or audio streaming would be beneficial, especially knowledge of different codecs
• Established full rights to work in the UK without time limit

The company is based in a rural setting on the edge of Cambridge. Optional working from home is available one day per week and there is an additional working from home time allowance that can be spent over the course of a year.
