Surrey
to £44,000 DoE + benefits

Top candidates starting in 2025 welcome

Talented programmers and physicists with top-tier academic results and an interest in cyber security are invited to apply for this career accelerating opportunity in Surrey. If you have or are expecting to receive a first-class technical degree or PhD in 2025, joining this team of specialists could be a smart move to make the most of your accomplishments.

Offering an excellent chance for top graduates to build upon their skills and experience, our client encourages people to take responsibility for challenging work early on, maintaining client relationships and building upon the company’s trusted reputation as a leading innovator in the defence sector. Projects can involve cyber security, image analysis, designing algorithms for high-speed processing, or developing SDKs.

Your skills in C/C++ will be particularly useful as much of the work will involve interacting with multi-core SIMD processor architectures. You will also have the chance to develop skills in VHDL and possibly newer languages such as Rust.

Required skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable software skills, preferably with C/C++, and familiarity with Python, HTML, Typescript / JavaScript, or VHDL would also be useful
  • An impressive academic background, including a first-class degree or PhD in Computer Science, Physics or similar technical subject, backed by complimentary A-Levels at grade A or above
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable with professionally presenting your work to others
  • Please note: due to the defence related nature of our client’s work, only UK citizens able to achieve a high level of security clearance can be considered

Encouraging collaboration and speedy progress is important to our client, as are security precautions, so the team finds working onsite at their offices and labs the best solution for them, however some flexibility is available around their core hours of work (10am - 4pm).

A generous remuneration package is available to successful candidates and early responsibility and career development is anticipated.
