Design and development of novel MEMS devices

A career enhancing choice for a skilled and versatile electronics engineer, with established MEMS design and test experience. This company develops miniaturised sensor technology, opening-up a range of novel industrial and consumer applications. They are currently seeking an expert in the design of sensors, including MEMS development, to join their team.

With opportunities to use your creativity, this varied role will involve using your insights to come up with new MEMS sensor and product concepts which you will then help to develop. This could involve modelling and simulation, materials selection, layout and design, as well as advising on packaging considerations and the wafer process. You will also take responsibility for specifying test and validation requirements and characterising the device performance. Furthermore, your opinions and insight on the company’s technology roadmap will be sought and highly valued, as you will contribute to the development of intellectual property and participate in planning.

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1st of 2.1 degree in a relevant engineering or scientific subject. A master’s degree or PhD would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in developing MEMS devices, with hands-on skills in areas such as simulation, layout, wafer process development, package design, characterisation, testing, and qualification.
  • Full existing right to work in the UK.
