Providing support for customer OEM companies for mobile phone applications

Located in Cambridge, this high-tech start up has developed RF based technology for mobile devices. They are hiring for a Technical Support Engineer to work closely with their customers providing evaluations for technology incorporation and promoting uptake of new product technologies. The role is based at their Cambridge offices but would also have frequent travelling around the world to customer sites.

As a technical representative of the company, you would provide RF expertise to customers to best utilise the company’s technology solutions. You’ll collaborate with teams to build next-generation features and communicate well with all stakeholders. You’ll be part engineer, part sales and marketing – providing technical advocacy and strategic advice.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in RF engineering including work in a customer-facing / consultancy role as well as project work with global mobile phone OEMs.
  • Expertise and knowledge around antennas including design, performance and testing.
  • Strong communication skills including proactive approach to problem solving and ability to articulate technical concepts to a range of audiences.
  • Any experience specifically within the mobile semiconductor industry would be desirable.

The role requires flexibility as global travel is part of the job. On offer is a competitive salary including share option scheme.
